GARDEN OF A SUMMER HOUSE IN CORFU
The landscape architecture study was initially involved with the shaping of the relief, in an effort to harmoniously connect the house with the surrounding area. The garden design was not limited to the areas around the house, but tried to create small thematic places all around the plot.The basic idea of the composition was to create the garden of the senses, in an effort to make everyone to enjoy the garden, regardless of their particularities. At the level of the house, the painter's garden was created, and the most noisy uses (living areas, swimming pool, public gathering places) were included. Outside the courtyard, a network of paths was designed, leading the visitor to the various thematic gardens - the garden of scent with the aromatic plants, the garden of touch with the various flooring materials - the garden of hearing with the water element and the garden of isolation inside the forest. The northern elevated part of the garden was dedicated to an orchard and vegetable garden.
